Harold Nelson was born and raised in Texas where he graduated from AJ Moore High School on June 26, 1959. He joined the US Army two days later and spent seven years on active duty. He later joined the Army Reserves for fourteen more years, completing twenty one years of service to our country and retired as a Master Sergeant.
Pastor Nelson attended Seattle University, where he was the Associated Student Body President, and graduated in 1975 with a B.A. in Political Science. He is now retired from the Grocers Industry and now works as a case manager for ICC’s Veteran Grant Per-Diem program serving homeless veterans.
Pastor Nelson joined the Set Free ministry team in 1998 and was ordained as a minister in August 2005 and he became the full time pastor of New Life Christian Fellowship (now a daughter church of Set Free) in October 2005. He still serves as an Associate pastor for Set Free. He and his wife Dena have been married since 2001 and have two daughters, Deelani and Devonna.
